Oh man well what a week! So to start the week off we had my last zone conference.... Wow saddest thing of my life having to say goodbye to some missionaries that i love so so much was just the hardest thing i have done sense i left you all. But also during that time i was asked to bare my departing testimony as well. Ha all i could do was crack jokes to make sure that i didnt just bawl my stinking eyes out! It was really interesting standing up there and giving my last testimony in front of all the missionaries that i have come to love so much. But as i was standing there i really feel like i had the chance to just reflect on my mission for a second, i honestly am not the same person i was 3 years ago. Through the atonement of our Lord Jesus Christ i have changed for the better. My interests are the same my hobbies are still the same, but me as a person has changed. And i love it. The past two years of my life has been the greatest two years of my life. Its crazy to think that it is even coming this close to closing... I will miss it a lot!
Okay enough of that! We do have another baptism coming it was supposed to be this up coming saturday but we have to push it back a week which is cool, she is still solid just hasnt come to church enough :). I did get the camera, whos was it before? Ha there was an sd card in there already and i just had some random pic of someone sitting at the computer hahaha it was funny! We are at 1 o'clock church as well here we have three different wards that go to the same building as us. One of them is a YSA ward so that is always rough cause they always have food!! But at the end of the year we will switch to 9 as well! Man you all have so many christmas parties! Ha i am going to miss them so much this year i can already tell! Ha but Skyping home to yall on Christmas will be the greatest thing ever! Ha its gonna be awesome just cause i will see you this month and next month i will get to see yall again! But that last time will be a lot better than that first ;). Oh man ha next month... That is scary to say! But i will try not to open that present... It will be hard ;) Hey have you guys seen that He is the Gift video if not watch it and share it with people okay? And the camera it self didnt get stolen my sd card did... Ha its whateves :) Hey i love you all so much! I really hope that this Christmas we all will focus on what truly matters and that is the Birth of our Lord and Savior even Jesus Christ! He is the greatest gift given to all of man kind :)

What a week... Ha well to start things off I will give yall the bad news... I lost my sd card... My whole mission is gone with the wind haha oh man all I can do is laugh cause if not I start to cry, I mean if it was at the beginning of my mission that would have been all good but nope it happened two months before my mission ends :).
Okay you debby downer on to happier things! Well the area is stinking sweet! I honestly am loving being in a walk area first off and second being down town. Saturday we went down town we got a guy that lives on the strip here in down town and so we went and tried to contact him but I forgot his address and our list of addresses and we didn't have a key to get back in to our apartment cause I was on exchanges oh and I for got the guys name... I was thinking it was John when we were over there so we were trying to ask people if John lived here and everyone was telling us no, but turns out that the guys name is Stephen.... HAHA dang it I love me! So sense all that fell through we went to Market Square and looked at all the Christmas stuff and tried to talk to people. Turns out that people don't like it if you come up to them while they are shopping and try to interrupt them in their "shop mode"... Cause if we talk to them they will not be able to find all the good buys and have to buy all the expensive stuff. Who would have thunk it ;) haha in my opinion everything there was expensive but I also live off of 135 a month so its been PB&J for the last 7 months ;).
We are teaching a few people right now one will be getting baptized on the 13 of this month her name is Patti. She is a single mother of a 2 year old boy and is the coolest person! She is just so humble and willing to do things to bring herself and her son closer to God. We haven't been able to meet with her a whole bunch but she is still the coolest cat around here! Our other investigator Gregory who was just baptized got the priesthood yesterday! He and his family are amazing! I love them so much!
Oh Thanksgiving was pretty sweet! We had a Turkey Bowl!! It was so muddy and so stinking fun!! Whole cow was it awesome! That started at like 9 that morning and when until like 1130ish oh man it was a throw back to the good ole days, pretty much just tried to relive my glory days through that game ;) but more than anything I wound up on the ground at the end of every play and was sore for the next few days, it still aint fully gone ;). But that is what I call living my glory days! After that we went and spent most of the day with Miss Vikky and her family we cooked with them and all that jazz it was super fun actually! There was a lot of none members there and we talked with all of them and at the end we gave a sweet little lesson with all of them and a lot of them said that they want to learn more! So we will see what happens there! After that we went over to the Alvarados they are a Family that has moved here from Puerto Rico, man was their food good! TONS of rice! So good! I gained like 30 pounds that day! But at the Alvarados the Matembus were there as well, that is Gregory and his family They are the bees knees!
But I am glad to hear that you all had a great week! I love you all so much!

The weeks honestly just are flying by... I dont really know how i feel about it all flying by so fast! Like i honestly think others are more trunky for me then i am for myself! Every time i see my district they tell me how many days i have left and all that crazy jazz. Like this morning i called some people in my district to see what the plan was for our pday and they were all telling me that after today i only have 9 more pdays, 9 more times to email home 9 more this 9 more that! It is actually a little more annoying now than funny haha ;)! I am super stoked to come home and see all yall, but i would honestly not mind staying out and doing this just a little longer. Like my picture perfect life actually would be to be home and everyday be able to do all this but just at the end of the day be able to come home and see all yall!
Anyways off all that trunkie talk! We had our first Baptism this weekend! Sweet!!!! This family is the most amazing family in the world! So the way that they got over here was through an agency and that agency takes the people around and introduces them to other people that the agency helped being like other people from South Africa. And so last wednesday we went and had dinner over at their house and they invited all the other people that they have met through the agency to come and hear the message that we were gonna share! There was like 20 extra people in there! And we saw a miracle! Or at least we think we did! Ha so the Matembus they dont have a lot of money right now and with the extra 20 people they didnt have enough food so they let Elder P and i go first on getting food and seein the amount of food we took a little trying to leave enough for all the other people! So we had our food and we were sitting down and the other people came out with just PILES of food on their plates! I mean even the kids that were there! They all just had tons of food! And Elder P and i looked at each other like dang!! After we were all done eating there was still just a little left over! But we honestly did not think that there was going to be enough to feed us all 20 plus the Matembu Family and us two missionaries there was alot of stinking people! But the Lord provided! It was honestly the craziest thing in the world! But anyways the Baptism was amazing! We had so much support from a lot of the members and it was just the greatest thing ever!
Well i like to think of myself as the David Archeleta of my mission now well me and my district we are singing two times this year for christmas in to different programs! Ha it should be fun but what i am most excited about is what we are doing for Thanksgiving! We have been invited to two different places and we are just gonna be chillin with the two families all day! On top of all that at 9 that morning we are having our Turkey Bowl!!! I guess its a huge deal in our ward like people are dressing up and they order 12 dozen doughnuts! And most of the time the elders go home with half of them ;) that may be the most exciting part of it all!
Well i am super happy to hear that all is well over there all is well here just trying to stay out of the trunk and stay focused! It may or may not be getting hard as the days go by ;) I love you all so so much! And that little baby cousin looks like a stud!

Man okay well now i can kinda inform yall on the haps here in good ole Pittsburgh! Well I cant remember what i said last week so if i go over them again it sucks to be you guys ;) Well my new companion is Elder Pennington fresh out of the MTC well kinda its been like two weeks now and we are going strong here. We got doubled in meaning that the missionaries that were here both left and me and Elder Pennington both went in to the are not knowing a thing! Which has been a struggle but we are getting by. We have a baptism this weekend! His name is Gregory Matembo he is 17 and his family all moved here from South Africa! His whole family were baptized in south africa besides him, for his family he told them it was because he had a huge soccer game. He was playing for a team over there that was pretty much semi pro he was lie 15 and 16 playing in a huge league like that and was getting paid some pretty good money. So on the day of Baptism he had a game and that was his excuse for his family when in reality he just never had a testimony of his own. So he said that he would keep meeting with the missionaries but it was just meaning nothing to him. So he saw that his family was still super happy and he never could understand why and they were always reading from the Book of Mormon so he said that he just reading it one day and couldnt stop reading! And came to know through lots of prayer that it was all true! But that was about the time that he and his family moved here from South Africa. And he was telling us it was the hardest thing that he ever had done in his life! He saw a lot of really hard things on the journey over here. But the only thing that would get him through was his testimony of the Gospel and the hope that it gave him! So Elder Pennington and i got to the are and saw them and went over and on the first lesson like a boss Elder Pennington set him with the date of November 22nd to be baptized! One of the coolest things ever!
We do as well have another lady named Patti with a date of December 13th but that is a story for another day ;). But what i will tell you is this, when the clock is winding down as fast as it is right now all i can say is work harder and the Lord will bless you with the greatest of blessings! I have seen all through out my mission that the Lord blesses all his children but for being obedient and fallowing the commandments of God, He will bless you so much more! Its been super super fun i cant send pics cause i dont have an adapter to plug my sim card in... So i dont know what to do... But on that same note i dont have a working camera anymore either... :D The joy of a walk area ha! So maybe as an early Christmas gift i could get a new one?... :) other than that i really dont want anything for Christmas. I got to start thinking about what to send home anyways to make sure that i will make weight for my luggage so please spend that money on someone else :).
Has Linda called you again? I really hope not ha cause she keeps saying that she is but i never know! The ward here is small just the way i like it! But it is FULL of diversity! People from all different backgrounds and it brings an amazing spirit to the meeting! The area is super sketchy sometimes we have some areas that we are not allowed to go in to because of things that are going down in the area! And we have a lot of areas where we are supposed to be out of by dark. So that is always super fun ;). It has been the craziest few weeks of my life and i have loved every single second of it! TIME IS FLYING! We are talking to some of the craziest people here! and it is extremely funny! We have a lot of work to do here with the ward and i am so stinking happy that i get to spend the last little bit of my mission this way! I Love you all! And i cannot wait to see yall on christmas! Tayto said he will be there so if he is not then i will cry! ;) Love you all!!

We are working hard Elder Pennington second day in the field committed someone to baptism i will tell the story some other time when i have time.November 22nd is the date as well we have committed some others to Dec 13 but wants it sooner and we had someone just out of the blue tell us that they want to be baptized!! Sweet huh!!! So the area is sweet! I love you all the person that called her name is Linda she is not all the way there but she loves the missionaries and she is SUPER funny! We call her Krazy Linda!! Ha She actually came up with the name and loves it my nick name is Elder Dennifart.... If you didnt catch that haha it was freaking sweet! Well i am getting transferred.... Kinda sad as well as super excited! I am doubling in and training for my last two transfers!! Say goodbye to 11 months of MLC! And all i know is that i will be on this side of the mission and i will be in a walk area!! Hopefully somewhere in downtown Pittsburgh!! Man i am just so excited to go train for the last two transfers! They are gonna fly by!! But i am still just super super excited!
Okay well i got some super sad news... Hannah dropped us... All we had was one lesson with her and well i guess it was actually her dad that told us not to come back. So yeah... It was one of the most depressing days even on top of all that every single lesson we had that day fell through... This is a trial of our faith or at least that is what i am hoping that it is cause that has been happening to us for the past ever! And Hannah ah man she was golden! Like i honestly thought this was like that one time on the mission that i would have found someone and they just were prepared and they were gonna be baptized in like a month but well i guess it didnt happen this time. But i have found tons and tons of comfort in lots and lots of prayer. It really was kinda a cool experience! I was just sitting there praying for what seemed like a million years! And i was just pleading with the Lord to tell me why he let this happen when me and my companion did all that we could do. And these words came to mind, "she is in my hands". Man the Lord answers prayers! It aint like some huge spiritual explosion! But it was just enough to give me the comfort that i needed at that time and having those thoughts come to mind was just awesome!
Its just over all been a very different week for me! Lots of different things have been happening pertaining to leadership and having to take care of things that i thought that i would never have to take care of and just seeing missionaries struggle with a lot of different things! But like i said before the comfort truly does come from the gospel and its teachings!
Sounds like everyone is having a blasty blast at home! I hope you all are having fun ;)  I am having fun!
I am feeling better! I dont need anything. Jessica Sperry I know the name but i cant picture who it is... I got my shoes and they are gooood!
These are some pics of the district
And the guy in the pic with a red shirt is Anthony who is a boss!!

Man we are being blessed here in the area! We had a referral this last week from Mormon.org and man are they ever prepared to hear the gospel. It was a girl named Hannah and she is only 13 but she is like the most mature 13 year old person boy or girl that i have ever met!! So the whole back story to this is that two Sundays ago we got the referral and we just dropped everything and ran over there to contact her. When we got there it was just the greatest thing in the world! Hannah was just so excited to see that the Book of Mormon was actually given to her and her dad showed a little interest in learning more about the church as well and every thing just seemed to be happening to well for these parts. So we finished talking to them made a return appointment with them. So we walked back to the car and once we got in the car both Elder Ginos and i just had this overwhelming feeling that we just need to pray and thank the Lord for this wonderful experience. As we were praying the thought came to mind to pray for them to have the strength to overcome any kind of anti material or anti talking from anyone that they meet with in between our visits. So we said another prayer and corrected that cause we asked in our prayer that the Lord would take away all trials. And at that point we decided that sometime during the week we would fast for them as well. So it came to the day of the fast and it was the coldest day that we have had so far, and everything was just off that day. But we kept going, we actually had a really good day planned out lots of lessons and all that jazz,, so we went through studies planned and studied for all these people. On our way to our first appointment the person called and canceled on us and we were like ah okay lets go just contact people. And with in 10 mins after that all our lessons for the day canceled on us. We had nothing! It was a day full of just contacting and trials! But we held on strong to our fast and tried to keep good spirits. At the end of the day it felt good even with all those trials. So it came to the day of our lesson with Hannah!! All day long Elder Ginos was saying that our lesson was at 6:30, and i kept thinking to myself i thought we planned that for 6.... But i never said anything i kept looking at my planner and that is when i had it written down for but just thought it was me writing things down wrong. But it came down to like 30 mins before our lesson with them and elder Ginos kept saying that it was at 630 so i finally spoke up and asked him if it was at 630 or 6. So it took a minute to convince him to look at his planner and check for himself, it ended up that he also had it written down at 6. So we made it there on time, her dad was sitting in on the lesson and he was pretty knowledgeable about our church. It was a little interesting... Cause he would throw out all the faults of our church but not really like in a rude way but just pointing everything out... So i was a little worried about it all. So there was a little bit of anti coming from her dad, as well she told us about she talked to one of her teachers and she totally went off and told her that we didnt believe in Christ and all these crazy other things!! But she ended up saying that she didnt care cause she just wanted to learn more from people that actually knew what they were talking about! So we kept going through our lesson and all through out it kind of seemed that the dad was just kinda sitting there to watch over us and just learn about the history of our church. But when we started talking about the apostasy and the restoration of the gospel he totally changed! Everything about him just started to work on him! The spirit was there so so strong! We have a return appointment with them this week and the dad wanted us to come back! The Lord was watching over us and blessing us with so so much!
The rest of the week has been a blur... Its all just going by so fast! Its week 6 and that means next week are transfers and i am like sitting on the fence on whether i want to stay or get transferred. Cause if i stay that means i will be here for the rest of my mission and be in MLC for 14 months of my mission... Ha and i just kinda want to go get doubled in to an area and train for my last two transfers. That is a weird thought though that i only have two transfers left on my mission... It is a little weird to think. Kinda scary haha.
Man i love you all!! I miss you all so so much! And i hope that you all know that i pray for you all every single day in almost every single prayer that i say! I am doing really well right now just enjoying life and living it up. I have this annoying little cough but hey its all good nothing to much :)  I will keep everyone in my prayers!!

Monday, October 20, 2014

Well this week was a good one! We have seen miracles here in the area! Lots and lots of them! We have been finding so many prepared people and the weird part is that they are all really young people like high school age... Its really different talking to younger people, i find it easier to talk to like 40 year old men then younger people... Ha that is just the way the cookie crumbles now days.
We do have a guy set for baptism on November 22nd! that is pretty sweet! He was studying with the Jehovah Witness most of his family is Jehovah witness and they all hate the fact that he is studying with us. It is just an awesome story i will have to tell yall more when i have more time. But he came to church for the first time yesterday and ah man it was just so stinking awesome! We had a media referral this last week as well, and we went over and it was this whole family that wants to be taught. We are thinking that they went and seen Meet the Mormons. Man that movie was just an amazing thing! I am super happy to hear that you all went and seen it! Cause it really does have a very special spirit with it! We had one guy from our ward go and after he was saying that all the none members there were just asking everyone how they got in contact with the church and learn more about it! Man that movie ha ah i just love it!
Well thanks to everyone for all the packages n'at! I loved them all! Not to many new things every week is kinda the same, i get up i actually go running a lot now days which i am oddly enough starting to like... I thought i would never say that but i just did so yeah. But yeah i get up wok out study go and do missionary work haha that is about it ;).
It sounds like every one is having fun and is doing well back home and i am happy to hear that :) I am doing pretty good out here not to much to complain about just got to continue to stay focused and keep my mind on the mission. I do need some new dress shoes.... I seem to go through them like there is no tomorrow so i am gonna look for some new ones today cause i have pushed that off until they are falling apart, so yeah :). I love you all!

Man this week was crazy! Probably one of the most memorable weeks on my mission! Got to see Meet the Mormons, went to the Temple, and it was my birthday. Just a week full of amazingness! First thing though Meet the Mormons one of the greatest movies that i have seen in a long time.... Like almost two years ;). But really it was one of the most touching movies that i have seen in a long long time, I pretty much cried at the end.... probably not one of my most proudest moments but i just bawled after the movie haha! The Temple.... So i went in to the temple just waiting for one of the most amazing spiritual blow ups that i have ever had. But none of that happened! All i could feel was just the overwhelming feeling of peace and all that came to mind was that i was home! When i get home i am just gonna live in the Temple! Like no joke if they let me i would sleep there and just do work all day long! But i was able to get the answers to a lot of questions! I went to the Columbus Temple and that has to be one of the smallest temple i have ever seen but that didnt stop the spirit from baring witness to me that everything done in the temple is true and that it is the house of the Lord! Man i want to go there so stinking bad! And my birthday it honestly didnt feel like my birthday but it was still a really good day! I go to go to the Longs he is my ward mission leader he is the one that sends pics to you all the time! I love that guy and his family! Coolest people in the world!
Well anyways besides that the week was pretty normal... Just another week full of missionary work. I feel like every time i come to email you all i think through the week and think man that was a pretty normal week like nothing big happened haha so i think that is why my emails are slowly getting shorter and shorter cause i feel like i have no cool stories besides that one that i already told ya about the temple and everything...
But thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes!! I really like reading all the birthday wishes they all make me feel super happy! IZZY had her babies!! SWEET!!! They all look so small! I am jealous that you all get to chill with all them little puppies! That all just sounds super fun! Sounds like you all will have fun going camping! Well i hope that you will have a super great week! I love you all!

Man Conference!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well that is all i have to say about conference. BOSS!!! Man i was for sure edified and i just felt the spirit like a slap in the face! I honestly just loved every aspect of conference the music the spirit all of it! President Monson is the Prophet that is for sure! The talk when he quoted that scripture "Ponder the path of thy feet". Oh man that talk was the greatest! It really goes along perfectly with my studies of the Book of Mormon lately! I had restarted reading the Book of Mormon with the intent of looking for every time it talks about the Heart, and i have been learning some of the coolest things! Today i studied Chapter 12 of 1 Nephi and it is when Nephi is asking to see the vision that his father Lehi saw, it is a great chapter that and 13. But anyways it talks in depth of the Tree of Life and the dark mist that is covering the path between where they start and the tree of life. And i got to thinking about that talk of President Monsons, the hardening of hearts as it talks about in the scriptures comes down to two parties those who voluntarily harden their hearts and those whos harts are hardened over time almost unaware of the situation. So now think of the dream of Lehi, he was at the tree and he partook of the fruit and was watching people try to make their way there. As he watched i am sure that he was not only happy to see the progression but also saddened at the distinct difference in the people. In my head i narrowed it to 3 parties. First one is those in the dream that saw the rod and the great and spacious building and voluntarily walked away from the rod and headed over to the great and special building. The second group are those who are holding to the rod walking through the mist, and think that its okay to just walk close to the rod but not necessarily holing to the rod, and hours later find themselves miles away from the rod and have to fight to find their way back to the rod and continue their journey. And lastly those who hold to the rod and make it there. The council that President Monson gave is perfect "ponder the path of thy feet." Is our heart voluntarily being hardened or is it with out us even being aware being hardened?
Well yeah i guess 21 is just around the corner and its kinda crazy to think that i am getting that old, i kinda just want to go back to being like 16 and stay there for life. We are headed over to our Ward mission leader bro long, that is the guy that has sent you all them pics of me through text message stuff. He is the coolest ward mission leader that i have ever had. I dont really need anything for my birthday. I heard this cool story of President Johnsons mission pres. and how he emailed all the missionaries and their families and told them not to send them anything for christmas but instead spend that money you would spend on them to the poor and needy. So i kinda like that idea :) I dont really need anything or want anything really, so please give it to someone that does need it :). But i mean like a birthday card would be nice that is it ;). Nothing really new this week just a quiet week, this week though i go to the TEMPLE!!!! AHHH YEAH!!! and we get to see Meet the Mormons. Last friday we had MLC and we got a sneak peek at it! I am so excited to watch it!!! Uh teaching wise we are trying to find new people to teach but for now we just got the same people finding new investigators are far and few between for this guy here so we are working hard ha.
Well family i love you all so so much!

Man oh man what a week!! Craziness! Well let me start off with my Elder Leavitt is home.... It was the end of his mission and he is back in Cali! Look him up on FB Kyle Leavitt.. He is great!! I got my new comp Elder Ginos! He was being trained in Erie when i was there, so we know each other really well!! Its been fun! Oh and this last night high light of my week! My last ward asked me to come back and sing with them in this I Believe in Christ choir concert, one of the most spiritual meetings i have been in in a long time!!! We had us sing lots of sweet songs! And we had the primary sing some songs all of Jesus Christ and we had tons of testimonies and they all invited their friends and the spirit was soooo strong there! Its is amazing how greatly the spirit will be invited in by singing praises to our Lord and King!! Man i will so much love to relive that night over and over again! And on top of it all i got to see all the people that i love from the 5th ward. Honestly i love that ward!! So many people that i got so close to and they will be dear friends for ever!
But anyways, the week was crazy its always crazy trying to take over an area especially when you were with the other missionary that knew that area for only one transfer.... its good ;) ha nah its actually been really fun just being out here in the area, working and being a missionary for the last little while. Oh funny story!! So Friday we went to try and find a new white board for our apartment so we could write down all the people we are visiting and such, so we went every where to look for one!! So we finally had to go to Home Depot and they were 4 by 8 they were huge!! So we had to get them cut in half one for us and one for the walk elders. So went looking for someone that would be able to cut them for us and guess what, we found a guy finally but he was a member a less active member that lived in Ohio that was pretty sweet we talked to him for awhile and that was cool... But when we were leaving we got to the car and our car was to small for the white boards.... So we sat there forever trying to figure out how we are gonna get them home so we tried calling some people and they could help but we ended up figuring out what we were gonna do. We put them on top the car and rolled down the window and just held on. HAHA the wind would take it and it was just the worst trying to hold on to them. And we would drive people and they would laugh of shout something out like hang on tight boys.... Maybe it was a little funnier being there.... but it was a good story to us hahaha.
Well its super good to hear that everyone is doing good, I miss you all!!! I got that package! THANK YOU!!!! It was all awesome the jerky is always a hit with the elders or missionaries that i am with. Man well i dont know if i am staying cause like i have three more including this one haha so i have no idea. But i love you!!

Man sending a missionary home when he is your companion is the hardest thing i think i have ever done!! Ha Elder Leavitt is like one of the coolest people that i know and its been a blast serving with him. And i think some of his trunkiness is rubbing off on all of us here in the house. But once he is out of the house everything will be back to normal ;). This week was full of goodbyes and a lot of challenges we werent able to teach as many people this week but that is okay we will pick it back up next week. I am super excited though! We were driving out in our area well pretty much in the boons which is all of our area, but we were driving out there and the leaves were starting to change colors!! AH man am i excited for all this stuff to start happening! I love this time of the year! Maybe its just cause my birthday is coming up and Halloween and all that jazz but its just the greatest time ever!
I was SO SO SO SO happy to hear that Mariah is staying up there in the north! Like that pretty much made my whole day! Like when she was going to be down in St George that made coming home not as exciting! ;) And that is pretty sweet that she got her job ha now its just she needs to get me a job there ;). Man there wasnt really anything cool that happened this week besides all the normal things knocking on doors teaching people. Man i am getting really distracted!!! HA sorry!
I am so so happy to hear all about all the fun stuff! And yes please i need to have a list of all the good movies ;) I am excited to watch all of them! So like I really havent been emailing anyone but you mariah and tayto sometimes ha that is really about it but its whatever! But i love you all! I miss you all!

So this week was pretty regular around here not to much is happening right now we are teaching a billion people, its no big deal... ;)
So anyways this last week we had a stake softball tournament... but i must repent for my hard heart... Well i had known about this softball tournament for like a million years and i was all excited about this and all that jazz. Well we got asked if we could go help move this person so my first response was HECK NO! But we went and did it anyways. So we thought that it would maybe take like an hour or so at the most. But it took 6 hours... 6 long hours... And i really was feeling mad cause we missed the whole thing. Like i was so so mad!! Like the rest of that day i was just the worst person ever cause we just had planned on going there and i was ah yeah it was just bad... haha but i learned a lot from all these things! Like again i learned the power of prayer and the strength that we can get from our Heavenly Father.
Well we are teaching a lot of people right now a lot of Part Member Families!! That is where we are finding a lot of success!! And we are teaching tons of Less actives! Its been like the greatest 5 weeks of my life! We are just teaching and staying so so busy. Now we are slowly working on getting the members more involved with everything that we are doing. I really think that success comes down to the attitude that we have over all. Like with us here we are so willing to do whatever it takes to find new people to teach and sometimes that will has to be tested. And that is why we go through trials is cause he is testing to see where our loyalty is. Elder Leavitt and i have been tested a lot but we are being so so blessed with so many new investigators that we dont even have to try we just do what we have been asked and they just come. The Lord will bless us for our obedience. I know it cause i have tested him! That is what he has asked us to do.
We are teaching this one family named the Clems and they are the greatest people ever!! They have two little girls and they are the freaking best!! Their dad was a state champ wrestler, so these two girls are like 5 and 4 and they just wrestle all the time cause their dad teaches them and its great they will like take turns taking each other down and stuff its kinda the coolest thing in the world. We get to go see them tonight! :)
The stake split a while ago, and we just are making a new zone nothing to big i just might not be a zl anymore which i am totally cool with i really dont care what happens. But yeah that was cool cause that just means the work here is going on strong!
But it sounds like you all are having some good fun over there! ;) I miss all yall! All i need is some good stuff to munch on and all that jazz ;)

Ah man this week FLEW by! Its been a good week we went to MLC which was good we had exchanges and all that jazz. Its been a good week!
Man so last week for Pday we hung out with all the Tongan families and they made TONS of food!!! IT was freaking sweet! And we played Volleyball for ever and it was pretty fun! But after that we had some sweet lessons planned and they all fell through!!! All of them.... But its whatever! After that i went of exchanges with Elder Packard he is a cool Elder he is our District Leader and well yeah i guess he is cool ;) But guess what when i was with him all our lessons fell through again.... What the FREAK!?! So we had to tract a little bit and that was fun i guess ;) We did find a new lady to teach her name is April her family all does them Durbys and she is pretty cool!! Nothing was working this week but we did teach tons still! We had some SWEET lessons this last week too!! There is this one family that i have come to love a lot and that is the Pinkertons they are a sweet family. But we had a sweet lesson with them like honestly one of them lessons where you walk away from it and you have a spiritual high for the rest of forever ;). We had our stake split that was pretty sweet! It might mean that i am not a ZL anymore but hey i dont care as long as i get to stay here and work with these awesome people i dont care ;)
Well that was enough of my week who even likes hearing my week ;). That is freaking sweet to hear about all yinz going to the temple!!!! I am so jealous. We had a note that went out by the church saying if a temple is 2 hours away from you in traveling time you can go even if it is out of your mission. From the edge of our area we live 2 hours and 6 mins away... 6 MINS!!!! AHHH So close ;) looks like i will still have to wait 5 more months to go... But i guess i can wait. You all look like a super happy family right there in front of the temple. I know that someday we will be there all together sealed as a family. That will be the greatest day of my life, better then anything i could wish for or gone through yet besides our own family sealing. I want us to all be sealed together forever.
Its nice to hear that the work is still progressing super well even not in Pennsylvania! Cause this splitting of the stake is the 2nd one i have seen sense i have been out here on my mission! The work is moving forward. Last night at the Pinkertons we asked them all why they believed in Jesus Christ. And it we had some of the most amazing answers from a less active family. They know that Jesus Christ is their Savior, they know that is to him that they must look to for a redemption of their sins. And they know that the Book of Mormon is true. With those two facts, we can lean on them and they will open a world of possibilities. Its amazing to see how these two facts do not bind us but they will free us from the chains of sin. I have been a first hand witness of these things :) I know the power of the Atonement it is the most powerful thing in the world! Its an unseen power that we will be able to feel through the Holy Ghost. I love this Gospel and i love the fact that i for myself have found the truth and have embraced it :). I want this for all of you!
So we have some sweet stuff here! Like Buffalo Wild Wings, any fast food stuff, uh i live in the city, well close to it ;) So anything. One thing that i do want is a Sams Club pass... Do you have like a guest pass that i could use? And you have no idea how excited i am about Dads jerky!! Ah man i am excited!
I love you all so so much!

Oh man!!! We are on fire here!! And i am loving being back in the field! So this week we had a sweet time at non other then the Pirates Baseball game!!! They were playing the Cardinals it was a sweet game! Well it was a little slow! But i was so in love for that day! I never thought i would ever get to go to a any kind of game like that! Man.... Like that was just the high light of my week! But guess what, even with missing pretty much a whole day Elder Leavitt and i still had more lessons then we did last week! Really we are being so blessed this last little while, and i have no idea why. All i can say is that we are just working hard and smart! And giving it all to the Lord! Man i have not felt this good on my mission in a long long time :).
Well this week we just had tons of fun. Ha i think we were on such a high and yesterday everything just kinda fell through haha we had a pretty rough day. We were trying everyone we did get in with some people but all our set appointments fell through. And on top of all that it was fast Sunday, so i might have been a little testy ;). So we were getting rejected left and right and all these things were happening it was just bad. So it came time to break our fast and that was like a heaven sent time ;), so we were booking it home and we were out in the middle of no where! We were like 35 mins away from home and we just wanted to get home! So Elder Leavitt was driving and he was driving a little faster than we should have and we coming around the corner and all of the sudden there was a HUGE pot hole! And we hit it head on! We hit so hard that it dented the rim!!! Ha all i could do was laugh in that moment! Man it was crazy funny so in our shirts and ties we changed our tire! It was awesome ;). All i cna say is that i was humbled!
I do want to let you all know again that Fasting and Praying works! So i have been thinking of where to go for school and i have always wanted to go to Utah State, but for some reason that was never settling right with me. So i have been thinking a lot and the other school that came to mind was BYU-I... Ha i have always made fun of that school so i instently blew that thought off and kept going about everything. But for the next couple of days EVERY one that i talked to went to BYU-I... Its like it was all just jumping in to my face. So one night i prayed about it, and the answer came very clearly that it was supposed to be BYU-I. But me being the man i am i still didnt want to listen... So i blew it off again... But for some reason after that i just could not feel the spirit and everything was off! So yesterday i fasted and prayed for the answer again.... Ha man i am testing Him. But the answer came very loud and clear this time. I am meant to go to BYU-I. And i will not deny it this time. There were feeling that i cannot describe but i know that is where i am supposed to go. I know that God will answer your prayers. He has done it time and time again! And because we are His children and He loves us so dearly he will answer us! All we have to do is have a sincere desire and have the faith to pray :).
I got grandmas package! THAT WAS SWEET!!! And all i can ask for is to send food :) that is it. I love you all!

Well this week was gooooooood! The new area i am in, is freaking awesome! We are teaching so much! We are at like 14 lessons a week which is far more than i have really ever gotten sense i was in Brookville! It is pretty great i love it... And as you can see we had a sweet party here in the ward saturday. Well it was actually a Primary Carnival and we were in charge of all the water stuff.... I LOVED IT!! I havent been around water like that in forever! All the kids were drenching us so we went and changed in to our "normal" clothes and just messed around and had our faces painted not sure if i was supposed to do that or not... But i did it :).
I dont know i just am in love with being back out in the normal missionary world, and i am trying to convince pres to let me stay here for the rest of my mission... I am hoping that i have talked him in to it. But we really have over all had some awesome days! They are just flying by and things just become a blur but i am in love with it all! So there was an Elder that just went home this last transfer and he was one of the most amazing missionaries that i have known out here. His name is Elder Jones and in is departing testimony he said "I have learned a lot on my mission and one of the most prevalent things i have learned is that Pennsylvania has TONS of trees! And if you sit back and think about all the places that have changed the world have been in a grove of trees. The Garden of Eden, The Garden of Gethsemane, and the Sacred Grove. These are places that have changed millions of people, and have like i said changed the world. And there is one grove of trees that have changed my life, and that is in Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania is my grove of trees." I can relate to him a lot on that part, Pennsylvania is my grove of trees just as it was Elder Jones. If we let the gospel in to our lives anywhere we are will end up being our grove of trees.
Just like last year i think my body knew that it was the fair week... Man i was so trunky this week all i wanted to do was go the fair and splurge on all that fair food ;). But i am on some what of a diet... So i hope i am loosing a little bit of weight i got to do my months to sexy! I got to get sexy for when i get home i got to impress all the people when i get home ;). But i am super glad to hear that Savannah and Nic did so good with their Sheep!! I am proud of them! Well now sense Mariah is moved out i guess that means she is to cool to email me now ;). But that sounds sweet that she is going down there to live that will be sweet!!
Well i love you all so much family!!

Well shewt! This week has been the freaking best! I am in love with my new area! Washington is the greatest place ever. I have taught more people here in this one week then i ever did in my last area ;). Just kidding! But the are is going to be awesome i am gonna try to get Pres to leave me here for the rest of my mission. I just am done moving around ;). But i am gonna start to be sending stuff home so i can make weight for my luggage. My new companion is Elder Leavitt, he is from California, and he is going home in September. So I will be his companion when he "dies". There was so much that happened this week and i honestly can not remember anything haha but I have been taking good pics and i have been writing in my journal so no worries ;). Just more stories for when i get home ;). The place i live in now is actually a house. And i live with the walk elders here in the area. So there is four of elders in the house and we got only one bathroom.... That is sweet huh ;).  216 Caldwell Ave Washington, PA 15301, that is my new address so send me some stuff, like good food, healthy food, more good food.
Well all my friends are just getting married... DANG!! I never thought that Dallin would get married anytime soon who is it to? It sounds like everyone is doing super sweet! I am super jealous that it is fair week! I got here at the start of last week and we had a fair here... If i had known that i would have for sure

Well what i was going to say was that if i had known that and i was here earlier, i would have gone and set a booth there so i could chill at the fair forever!!
Well this week we have had some super sweet experiences the spirit is sweet that is for sure! Fallowing the spirit is super sweet!! I think that is super cool that we have the chance to fallow the spirit and know that it is from the Lord and it is exactly what He wants!!
Oh hey i need some family history stuff like pronto :) We have 3 hours a week to work on it now days and i love it so much!! It super sweet to see all the people who have gone before us!! Man its the coolest thing ever!! I wont forget your number ;) i just havent had people take pictures of me :) I love you all so much!! I hope you know how much i love you! And appreciate all that you do!

an i can not even remember what has happened this last week. But i do have a story to tell ya :). So it started off a few days ago we had a district meeting on the will of God and our will. And what one we are really focusing on right now on our mission. So that came as a little rebuke to me. And oddly enough the next day during my personal studies i was reading a talk by Elder D. Todd Christofferson, it was all on the atonement, i cant remember the name of the talk right now but it was in the October 2011 Conference. And it makes a very profound statement in there, and it goes something like this, as much as we pray for grace in the repentance process we should pray for the opportunity and the time to repent. So that is when the thought of Turning my will to God came back to mind. So ever sense that i started to pray for the opportunity to repent and turn my will over to go more fully. And it seemed like nothing was changing I was still focusing all the work o the people and centering things on our Savoir Jesus Christ, nothing changed so i kept going and just kept praying for the same thing. So Monday rolled around and it was all normal just starting to get ready for the dreadful week 6. So a while ago I had asked President Johnson if i was staying for another Transfer and he had said yes, but after i was done emailing you all last week President Johnson asked if he could talk with me alone. So he took me in to his office and asked me if i was willing to do all that the Lord asks me to do, so with that kind of questions you know that something is gonna happen. So i said yes and he continued to tell me that i was needed else where in the mission for the time being..... Never before had my stomach been so twisted and flipped upside down in my life! Through all the trials and the wading through tribulation i had finally found success in this area we have 3 people set with a date all super solid as well Nick, Suzanne, and Jordan. The ward here is one of those wards that i have grown to love with all my heart. All these negative thoughts came rushing in to my head when that was all i focused on was the fact that i was being pulled from all the great things that have happened here in the area. I was honestly really hurt and just frustrated. So when i went home I just knelt down and asked our Father what was happening i was doing so good here! I finally got the balance between doing the work and office work. And all that came to mind was the fact i had prayed to have the opportunity to turn my will to God. Here it is my turn to turn my will over to God :) Our Father in Heaven will answer your prayers. I know it and i will never forget it.
Well This week i feel like i have run around with our heads chopped off and its getting fun ;). We havent been able to do a lot besides plan and prepare for MLC and get ready for transfers. So its been a crazy crazy week! Oh i guess i should tell ya where i am going huh? Well i am going to a zone leader again down in the washington ward here. I will only be like 30 mins away from this area here. Its all in the same stake so it will be awesome i will still see some of the same people! Well It sounds like everyone there is living life to the fullest huh ;) Well i have a lot of pictures this week and just not a lot to say besides that story there :). Its amazing when you can make some of those big ties to the gospel and your day to day life. We should all look for those and thank God for blessing us so much each and every day! I love you all! I love you all!!
